Personalized Learning in English courses at the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland

2017, Holzweber, Anches

The English classes in the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland’s International Business Relations program have undergone some changes in the last years. Learning- and teaching-approaches have shifted from being teacher-centered to being learner-centered; and concepts such as Blended Learning, Peer Teaching, Self Directed Learning or Flipped Classrooms, together with personalized feedback for the learners, are used to ensure that through partial degrees of freedom regarding place, time and content of the course, students can work on individual learning goals and, consequently, remain highly motivated.
